These Sock Monkeys will knock you off your socks!

 

This super cute quilt will be hanging in Notions Nook, Rockford, IL.  This pattern is great for showcasing novelty prints and all your big prints!

 

Here is a close-up of the fun, bug swirls that I used.  These monkeys would be swinging and rolling around, just like the swirls indicate!

Stunning String Quilt!

 

This quilt is made with many batik string pieces.  It is a sample hanging in Acorn Quilts, Rockford.  I believe it is a Laundry Basket Quilts pattern, but I am not for sure.

 

You can see the stars that are in the darker shades.  I just quilted a freehand leaf pattern.

 

This is the backing...you can see the soft leafy design.

Oh those Pink and Browns!

 

This quilt is hard to see how pretty it really is!  I have a love for pinks and browns and this quilt fits the bill.

 

I used the Pretty Paisley pattern on this quilt and it fit perfectly because the fabrics had a bunch of paisleys on them!

 

Where have I been?



 First of all, here is my goofy husband (in blue) (and 90 others!) getting ready to ride Triple D...a race in Dubuque, IA, that is over 65 miles on a "fat bike" in the freezing cold!  (And he calls ME the crazy one!)

Here is a naked picture of my quilt studio without my baby.  It looks so weird and bare!

But in this next picture, my new baby arrived!

 

 

I love the red bow!  Never received anything with a BIG red bow, like on all those car commercials!

Ok, so I sold my 2006 Millennium and have finally upgraded to a 2013 with Bliss!  My husband decorated it with the lovely painter's tape that came wrapped on all the leaders!  I am so happy with it!  She quilts like a dream!  The next posts will have pictures of the first quilts I completed on it.
