First of all, here is my goofy husband (in blue) (and 90 others!) getting ready to ride Triple D...a race in Dubuque, IA, that is over 65 miles on a "fat bike" in the freezing cold! (And he calls ME the crazy one!)
Well, here is a picture of my studio with my 2006 Millenium before she left me!
Here is a naked picture of my quilt studio without my baby. It looks so weird and bare!
But in this next picture, my new baby arrived!
I love the red bow! Never received anything with a BIG red bow, like on all those car commercials!
Here she is! Up, and ready to do some serious quilting!
Ok, so I sold my 2006 Millennium and have finally upgraded to a 2013 with Bliss! My husband decorated it with the lovely painter's tape that came wrapped on all the leaders! I am so happy with it! She quilts like a dream! The next posts will have pictures of the first quilts I completed on it.
Congrats on the new Millie!! I'm glad to hear you were finally able to sell your 2006 machine to upgrade. Your going to love Bliss.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes your husband is crazy! :)
That man in blue sure looks handsome and handy. He also did a nice job decorating your machine. He is very creative. He's also lucky to have such a wonderful wife to follow him to all those goofy races. Hope your new machine is BLISSFUL for many years to come. Love you love your show,

Hey I was just wondering how your husband did in that race? Totally unrelated to quilting but interesting none the less. Did you at least visit some quilts shops in Dubuque? I think there are several out there. Can't wait to see you till the show season starts! Hope your hubby has some stories from all his crazy winter riding. See you soon,

Well, hello there Gumby! I am just as lucky to have a husband that goes with me to all those quilt shows! The machine is super Blissful! I LOVE it! Lets just say that the day of the race it was REALLY cold and there were A LOT of big hills, so on that note, he DNF'ed...and when I went to pick him up, I brought back two other guys as well, so he was in good company...tough race, he'll be better prepared next year!
ReplyDeleteOh, the quilt shops! This is really the first time we have gone anywhere and stopped at shops along the way. HE actually mapped them out for me! Let's just say, I can't wait to go back next year because the shops were so cool! Oh, and stopping in Galena was SO great, we did it twice! We even bought a quilt kit for our middle son and I to complete! SO FUN!
I will be looking for you at the shows this season...hope to see your pink tiger shirt! ;)
