Every year after all the holidays I get to be confronted with 3 birthdays!!!
My youngest son, Andrew's is Jan. 8th, then my husband's is Jan. 9th, and my daughter, Heidi's is Jan. 15th! Here are kid's cakes for this year!

Andrew had STAR WARS (Chewbacca!)

Heidi, of course, Loves ELMO!!!

I will be working on the 9-Patch tonight, but here is an update of the center! What do you think?

Disappearing 9-Patch description

In order to make a disappearing 9-patch, you will start with a basic 9-patch block that looks like this:

The next thing you will do is cut the block in half both vertically and horizontially and it will look like this:

Now you can pick either two opposite corners and flip them around.

Finally, you will sew the four new pieces back together to get a Disappearing 9-Patch Block!

The next time I post, I will show you these blocks all put together! I can't wait!

Disappearing 9-Patch and Tree Skirt

Here is a "Thank You" gift for my daughter's new big girl bed.

Our friends are now turning their daughter's bedroom into a living room with a couch, so hopefully this will look good on it.

These are the fabrics that I chose to start.

At this time I am also working on a tree skirt for my sister-in-law. I think the fabrics are more contemporary Christmas fabrics, so I think she will like it!

Wedges where I used the fabric and the total skirt without applique.
