What a quilt! Wish it were mine!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Mine was filled with sick kids, but it made it very quiet and actually, I will never complain about snuggle time, even when it is 3am and your 4 year old can't sleep unless she is kept upright (and in mom's arms is the best place to sleep upright!)

This quilt was for a wonderful quilter's daughter for Christmas!  It is a BIG quilt!  Lots of detailed blocks that are so beautiful!  I don't think I could do them justice!

It had a number of borders that were each given their own attention. The outer most border was large and was given a double feather of sorts.  The next had a triple plume, and the zig zag had feathers as well.

The center medallion was feathered in the star and meander in the cream outer areas.

The outer red of the medallion had feathers as well.

The flower pieces outside the medallion were given a heart shaped swirl with some ribbons.  The green were  given leaf shapes.

The border stars were given a continuous line design with a matching meander.

The individual blocks were given a square feather design.

The log cabin blocks got more feathers and the dark tan floral background was swirled!

Another individual block with square feather.

The finished quilt!  So beautiful!  Hopefully her daughter knows the work her mother put into this beauty!
